State Rep. Matthew Bierlein, of Vassar, has announced a fall photo contest hosted by his legislative office for interested individuals across the 97th House District.
Submissions can be emailed to MatthewBierlein@house.mi.gov through Nov. 12. Each submission should include the name, address and contact information of the participant, as well as the date the photo was taken and where it was taken within the district.
“Fall is a wonderful time in Michigan,” Bierlein said. “Whether it’s the colors of the leaves changing, that first frost, or a community taking in a homecoming parade, there are many picturesque moments to capture. I invite anyone who is interested in participating to submit a photo to my office, and I look forward to seeing more of our region’s scenery.”
The winning photographer will be invited for a personal tour of the Capitol with Rep. Bierlein and have their photograph framed and displayed in his office.
The 97th House District encompasses several communities in Bay, Genesee, Saginaw and Tuscola counties. The district includes Freeland, the cities of Auburn, Caro, Frankenmuth, Vassar and part of Montrose, and the villages of Birch Run and Millington. A full map can be found here.
Questions about entries and the contest can be answered via email or by phone at (517) 373-8962.
